Description

The work consists of furnishing all necessary labor, tools, materials, and equipment for work consisting of the removal and disposal of the existing range front light and the complete fabrication and installation of a new structure, approximately 875 yards from the old structure. The structure to be removed is in approximately 3 feet of water at low tide and consists of (5) HP-12X53 Piles with a minimum of 25 feet of embedment. The piles can either be completely pulled out or cut off at the mud line. The work is located at the entrance of Port Royal Shoal near Hilton Head, South Carolina. The site is inaccessible by land. The site is exposed to the open ocean and subject to strong currents making access difficult during days of strong winds. The strong currents and periodic heavy seas may make mooring and maneuvering vessels and barges difficult at the site. Request for a bid package must be submitted in writing. Requests may be faxed to 305-278-6696. The estimated price range is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Bid quarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both small and large businesses participation. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered by this agency. Those who previously requested under the Presolicitation Notice dated, 18 July 2001, do not need to request again. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235910 with a three-year average annual receipts, small business size standard of $11.5 million.
