Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award Sole Source contract to Micromeritics,One Micromeritics Drive, Norcorss,Ga, for the commercial item acquisition of Sedigraph 5100 Automatic Particle size analyzer with new windows operating systems. This is the only instrument that determines particle size based on the fall velocity of the particle according to Stokes Law. The Government contemplates a lease with option to purchase purchase order awarded under the simplified acquisition threshold of $100,000. This notice of intent is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
