Description

D -- CIO Facilities Management and End User Support Services Solicitation No. 52-PAPT-1-01017. NOTE: THE RESPONSE DATE SHOWN ABOVE WILL BE REVISED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE SOLICITATION TO BE RELEASED AT A LATER DATE. The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), an organization with an employee base of approximately 7,000, has a requirement for facilities management and end user support for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the USPTO. The services to be provided are: network operations; help desk support; comprehensive support of hardware and all microcomputer-related software; asset management; and UNIX and NT operating system support. At its option, the USPTO may require support for the future relocation of its IT assets to its new facility in Alexandria, VA. The USPTO anticipates this requirement to be for a one -year base period and nine, one-year option periods. This requirement is designated as a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code associated with this project is 541513, (size standard is $18M). The solicitation, 52-PAPT-1-01017, is anticipated for release to the vendor community in late May 2001 and will only be available via the Internet at the USPTO procurement web site at www.uspto.gov/web/offices/ac/comp/proc/currproj.htm. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained. Potential offerors are requested to direct all questions via email at fmeus2@uspto.gov. All questions will be answered via the Internet. The current contractor for this requirement is Computer Based Systems, Inc. (CBSI). The contract number is 50-PAPT-7-00017.
