Description

The USDA Forest Service, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Black Mesa Ranger Districts, Coconino County, Arizona requires the following work at Crook and Sinkhole Campgrounds: Pulverization of the existing roadway surface, widening the existing entrance road, narrowing the loop roads, building spurs, placing a base material, asphalt paving and installing accessible grills with concrete pads. The project consists of the following work at Rim and Mogollon Campgrounds: building four accessible "pull-outs" at each campground and installing accessible grills with concrete pads. Striping at all four campgrounds. Crook C.G. can be reached by traveling on Hwy 260 approx. 20 miles west of Heber to Forest Road 300, traveling north west on F.R. 300 approx. 3 miles to F.R. 105, then traveling north on F.R. 105 approx 1 mile to the Crook C.G. Entrance Road. Rim C.G. can be reached by traveling north west on F.R. 300 approx. 1 mile to the Rim C.G. Entrance Road (before F.R. 105). Mogollon C.G. can be reached by traveling north west on F.R. 300 approx. 4 miles to the Mogollon C.G. Entrance Road (about 1 mile past the jct. with F.R. 105). Sinkhole C.G. can be reached by traveling on Hwy 260 approx. 19 miles west of Heber to F.R. 149, then traveling approx. 1/2 mile on F.R. 149 to the Sinkhole C.G. Entrance Road. Plans and specifications will be available on or about Friday, May 4, 2001. Estimated price range is $250,000 to $499,999.
