Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, NJ, intends to procure NVD Blue Floodlight Bracket Assemblies (P/N 517575-2) on a sole source basis with Corion Corporation of Franklin, MA. The Government shall award one (1) firm fixed-price Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. At a bare minimum, the Contractor must ensure that the base glass material has a thin film deposited on one side, using microplasma thin film technology to ensure superior spectral temperature, environmental, and humidity stability. The requested item is a specially designed filter; the filter must have a coating embedded into the glass substrate through a Corion proprietary process which suppresses light frequencies that adversely effect the performance of the NVDs. Shipping terms shall be FOB Destination. Firms that recognize and produce the required item described are urged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
