Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase eight Ambient Air Dehydrators The North American Industry Classification System code is 334220. The contract shall be a firm fixed priced contract. FOB Destination, Dahlgren, VA shall apply. The following is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N00178-01-Q-1028 and is a Request for Quote. All interested parties shall indicate their interest and capability with their fax quote at (540) 653-7088, which shall be considered by Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100. DESCRIPTION: A) Unit shall be less than $8,000.00 in its final delivered package. B) Unit shall provide 0.3 to 5 PSI dry air at a minimum flow of 127 liters per minute. C) Unit shall provide dry air with a dew point not greater than 45 Degrees Celsius in an ambient condition of 95 percent relative humidity and 49 Degrees Celsius. D) Duty cycle needed to provide minimum flow of 5 liters per minute shall not exceed 10 percent. E) Unit shall use less than 2700W during normal operation. F) Unit shall provide additional 20 dB acoustic damping, relative to an undampened unit, as an option for installation inside an occupied building. G) Unit shall not require any additional pressurized air sources. H) Unit shall have an operationally demonstrated overall MTBF of 60,000 hours. (provide some evidence of proposed unit's operational history) I) Weighted consideration will be given to proposals that require less routine maintenance to achieve MTBF. J) Unit shall use "membrane" air drying technology. K) Unit shall allow programmable pressure differential settings in 0.1 PSI increments. L) Unit shall allow programming of alarm values and pressure set points from a front panel interface. M) Unit shall have a non-volatile means of storing and displaying the accumulated runtime. N) Unit shall provide automatic humidity detection and shutdown, with associated contact closures for remote monitoring. O) Unit shall operate on 110/220 VAC standard 60 Hz commercial power. P) Unit shall be contained within a free-standing cabinet not to exceed 17"Wx18"Dx48"H. Q) Unit shall not exceed 145lbs total weight. R) Unit shall come complete with cutoff valve and necessary hardware to support 3/8 inch polyethylene tube installation. Quote is due 20 April 2001 no later than 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard time) to: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Building 183, First Floor, Room 102, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 and anticipated award by 27 April 2001.
