Description

The U.S. Department of the Interior anticipates negotiating with Cherokee Boys Club, Inc., in Cherokee, North Carolina, to provide services on behalf of the U.S. Department of the Interior, Office of Youth Programs, to the co-ed Oconaluftee Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center in Cherokee, North Carolina. Services shall be provided from July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002, with an option to extend services for an additional four (4) one-year periods. Services are to be provided under one contract and are as follows: trash removal service; laundry service; dishwashing and janitorial service; main kitchen cooking service; bus transportation services; vehicles and drivers for the hauling of construction road material, etc.; general maintenance (carpentry, plumbing and electrical engineering) necessary for the upkeep of employee housing and other Center buildings; occupational health nurses (full & part- time) to provide on-going professional nursing care and emergency first-aid; trip leader for ecological outings; provide equipment for students for spelunking, whitewater rafting, lake canoeing; camping/backpacking and cross country skiing; trainee employee assistance program counselor; van driver; part-time medical clerk; alcohol and drug abuse program specialist; and additional miscellaneous services as requested. As this acquisition will be awarded in accordance with the Buy Indian Act, source must be a 100% Indian-owned organization. No solicitation document exists. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A request for solicitation will not be considered an affirmative response, however, if issuance of a solicitation is determined appropriate requesting firms will be included on the mailing list. See Numbered Note 22.
