- Description
- This is a notice of intent from the Naval Air Systems Command to issue a CPFF order on an other than full and open competition basis, to an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-01-G-0063, with Northrop Grumman Corporation, San Diego, CA to assess the suitability of the Vertical Take-Off Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (VTUAV) System for potential SIGINT payloads. This study will help determine if the VTUAV is suitable to host a SIGINT Modular Mission Payload (MMP). The specific area of interest is in the electromagnetic environmental effects (E3) of the VTUAV air vehicle, including intra-system and inter-system electromagnetic compatibility. Also contemplated are studies, modeling and simulation support for antenna pattern and potential SIGINT antenna placement. Northrop Grumman is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the VTUAV, and the only firm that possesses the necessary knowledge, experience, and technical data required to perform these efforts. See Note 22.
