- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is seeking interested sources to provide services for Cleaning and Maintenance of the Rifle and Pistol Ranges and their Filtration System, located at the United States Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, management, supervision, equipment, supplies, material, transportation and other items and services necessary to provide protection for personnel, property, facilities and land at the USCGA, New London, CT. The solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded by May 11, 2001. The period of performance will be from 21 May 2001 through 20 May 2002. This requirement is solicited in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.2, set-aside for small business concerns capable of providing these services. The applicable NAICS code is 562119 (Other Waste Collection) with a Small Business Size Standard of $10.0 million. For the calculation of annual receipts and number of employees see parts 121.104 and 121.106 in SBA's Small Business Size Regulations <http://www.sba.gov/regulations/121/>. A site visit is strongly recommended that anyone who anticipates submitting a quote attend the site visit at the USCGA New London, CT. The first site visit is schedule for April 23, 2001 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. through 3:00 p.m. The second site visit is schedule for April 24, 2001 between the hours of 0900 am through 1000 am/Point of Contact is LTC Mark Braxton (860-444-8227).
