Description

The Social Security Administration is seeking sources to provide an automated Grants Management System for use by our Agency, as well as, our grantee community. We are seeking software to support a full range of Federal grants activities from requesting applications and automated application assessment, through award and monitoring. Web technology should be utilized to help satisfy our grants processing requirements. Specific requirements to be serviced include the ability to: (1) house application database on a Windows NT server; (2) run the system software on Windows NT desktops; (3) interactively apply for Federal assistance; (4) evaluate applications on-line; (5) encrypt sensitive data; (6) create system generated Notices of Award; (7) support interactive entry and tracking of Financial Status and Progress Report data; (8) share Financial Status and Progress Report data with authorized grantor personnel; (9) satisfy necessary reporting requirements; (10) query the status of pending actions; (11) provide automated interface with financial systems; (12) service grant closeout procedures Information must include such things as : detailed functional characteristics, capacity, size, inputs/outputs, specific database utilized, a list of customers and customer contacts using any previously implemented similar system, as well as, an estimated cost, or copy of a published price list of the proposed system. Respondents should cite specific examples of their experience in the area of Federal Grants Management software development. If any products and/or support are covered by a GSA Schedule contract, a copy of the contract and/or GSA Schedule number should be provided. This is not a Request for Quotation(RFQ), and the government does not intend to pay for the information solicited or received. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION and is considered to be Market Research. Interested parties must respond to this notice, in writing, within 15 calendar days from the date of this publication.
