Description

Solicitation N00421-01-Q-0284 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is set aside for small business. The government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with IBI Systems, Inc., 6842 NW 20th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309 for the part number listed below. This action is under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The contract line item number and description is **CLIN 0001 Quantity 7 each P/N 3512LCD/MS-17 Rack Mount System which is a rugged high performance lightweight computer system with built-in active matrix color LCD VGA display. IBI Systems, Inc. is the only vendor with a certificate of compliance with the required Military Standard (MIL-STD-167-1 and MIL-STD-901D) that can meet the Government's minimum requirement. Award is expected 01 May 2001. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by 01 May 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
