Description
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Bruker Instruments, Inc., of Billerica, Massachusetts, for acquisition of one each (a) High Resolution 19F Probe with 1H Decoupling and (b) High Resolution 31P Probe with 1H Decoupling, both to be used by the Ceramics Division at NIST in conjunction with instrumentation. The Probes must be completely compatible with the existing Bruker Instruments Spectrometer at NIST in order to achieve the best resolution and sensitivity. Bruker Instruments is, therefore, the only manufacturer that can supply the required high resolution probes to the Government.***** Delivery shall be FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, MD, and is required within six (6) months from receipt of purchase order (ARO).*****The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333314, and the size standard is 500 Employees.*****No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, responses received by APRIL 30, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
