Description

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville intends to award a sole source, Time and Materials (T&M) contract for R&D support for a missile recycling and recovery system prototype to AMTEC Corp., Huntsville, Alabama. There is no other known source for this service. The contractor shall provide (other than those provided by the Government) all engineering and fabrication services, personnel and materials necessary to develop and fabricate this system. The contractor shall have experience in support of missile recycling research and development relative to engineering, design, fabrication, assembly, integration, and operation. Also, contractor shall have experience relative to the liquid ammonia removal, ingredient extraction and reclamation system developed by the Propulsion Directorate, AMCOM, Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama. Additionally, the contractor shall have experience relative to Army tactical missile disassembly, propellant removal, warhead explosive removal, energetic material processing, hardware decontamination, and reclaimed product utilization, as well as experience in explosives processing safety. This synopsis of intent to award a sole source is not a request for proposals/offers. Contractors who can provide the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, with the services, as specified above, are invited to submit, in writing, an affirmative response which includes, as a minimum, the proposed credentials and qualifications of personnel, any applicable pricing data, and any information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis, and all such responses will be considered by the agency. Written responses to this notice must be received within 10 calendar days.
