Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is CANCELLING the notice to continue the operation of the Security Assessment and Training Center (SATC) to include procurement of Russian safety and security equipment, complete vulnerability assessments and site designs at five Russian sites, install security suites of equipment at two Russian installations, and enhance the security at Russian weapons storage sites as a sole source contract to Bechtel National Incorporated (not to exceed $70 million). Instead two CBD announcements will be issued on 18 Apr 2001. One will announce the intention to modify Contract DTRA01-98-C-0014 to Bechtel National Incorporated to continue the operations of the SATC in Russia for an additional 12 months (not to exceed $6 million). Another will announce the intention to solicit a new firm fixed price contract under full and open competition to procure essential Russian safety and support equipment (not to exceed $15 million). All other requirements from the original notification have been removed.
