Description

This project involves the construction of a new Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) Facility on the third and fifth floors of the A.J. Celebrezze Federal Building. The facility includes offices, detention areas, conference rooms, hearing rooms, interview rooms, computer room and an exercise area. Work items include new or upgraded gypsum panel/metal stud walls, masonry walls, acoustical ceilings, security systems, HVAC, fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Abatement of asbestos containing material is also included. The square footage for this project is approximately 29,300 for the fifth floor and 2,200 for the third floor. This project is open to all business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with a size standard of $27.5 Million. The cost range is estimated between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The completion time for this project is 365 days from receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). This is a negotiated procurement, proposals will be opened privately. The number of proposals received, the identity of offers, the amount of any offer or relative standing will not be disclosed. Specifications will be available on or about May 3, 2001.
