Description
DESC: Provide all supervision, plant labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all work in connection with the removal of the existing footbridge and all appurtenances in their entirety. This project will also include the removal of the existing approach railing systems and installation of a new Government furnished 60 LF pre-engineered fabricated laminated wood arch footbridge upon contractor prepared abutments. Furnish and install associated site improvements including new paved walkways, new split-rail cedar fence, selective clearing and miscellaneous site work. Rehabilitate interior and exterior restroom. Remove and dispose of underground 1000 gallon septic tank and replace with new 4000 gallon underground holding tank. The contract type shall be "Firm Fixed Priced". This will be an unrestricted procurement and is estimated to be between $100,000 $250,000. The anticipated issue/posting date will be on or about 1 May 2001. Note: The DUE DATE for the Invitation for Bid (IFB) shall be 30 days after actual issuance/posting date (The IFB will be posted on Fort Drums web page). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The IFB will not be mailed out and no mailing list will be maintained. The entire IFB package will be available for downloading from the Fort Drum web page, no hardcopies will be provided. All sources wishing to submit a bid are required to monitor the Fort Drum Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the IFB. Failure to respond to any amendments may render the IFB as non-responsive and thereby rejected. The IFB must be supplied in hard copy to the Directorate of Contracting, Fort Drum, NY, no electronic bids will be accepted.
