Description

The government intends to use standing quotations to purchase TOBACCO PIPE CLEANERS as may be needed from time to time for a 6 month period beginning May 1, 2001, or date of acceptance, whichever is later. The Buy American Act applies to the product to be purchased, therefore the item must be a domestic end product. This RFQ is set aside for small business. All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, will be considered. The solicitation is being issued only electronically and may be downloaded from the Internet at http://www.FedBizOpps.gov. Search for solicitation number 9946-SQ. DESCRIPTION OF TOBACCO PIPE CLEANER: Wire core; overall diameter of wire core approximately 0.029 inch; rigidity shall be sufficient to allow the cleaner to perform in the manner intended; overall diameter 0.125 inches plus or minus 0.015 inch; nonabrasive filler material may be all cotton or blend of cotton and synthetic fiber; water absorbency must be no less than the water absorbency of all cotton-filler material; filler material weight shall be 0.12 grams minimum per pipe cleaner; overall length 6 inches minimum. Unit of Issue = 1344 pipe cleaners per box.
