Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract modification to the Tomahawk Depot Maintenance Contract (N00019-00-D-0275) for the repair, maintenance, and recertification of the Tactical Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR), expended Tactical Tomahawk Production Verification Test (PVT) missiles and Tactical Tomahawk Functional Ground Test (FGT) missiles, the Tactical Tomahawk Guidance Test Set (GTS), Tactical Tomahawk Hardware-in-the-Loop (TTHWIL), the Tactical Tomahawk Range Safety System (RSS), Tactical Tomahawk related Government Furnished Property (GFP), and associated services and support. The anticipated fixed-price contract modification is planned to be awarded during the second quarter fiscal year 2002. This requirement includes the issuance of delivery orders for: a. acquisition of depot maintenance of Tactical Tomahawk AUR, expended Tactical Tomahawk PVT and FGT missiles, the Tactical Tomahawk GTS, TTHWIL, the Tactical Tomahawk RSS; b. unscheduled maintenance / over and above work for Tactical Tomahawk AUR, expended Tactical Tomahawk PVT and FGT missiles, the Tactical Tomahawk GTS, TTHWIL, the Tactical Tomahawk RSS Tactical Tomahawk GFP; c. non-warranty repairs of the Tactical Tomahawk AUR d. technical and administrative data and documentation; e. post production systems and design engineering; f. missile / GTS software support; g. spares h. rotable pool of assets for depot maintenance and repair parts. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734 1337. Since the Secretary of the Navy's directed single-up in 1994, RMS has been the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer for the TWS. RMS solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tactical Tomahawk missile, as well being the singular provider of Block III Tomahawk depot maintenance. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tactical Tomahawk missile is required to conduct tasking under this contract, RMS is the only source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs. Although NAVAIR's intention is to award this contract modification to Raytheon Missile Systems, proposals from other responsible parties will be considered and evaluated.*****
