Description

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://procurement.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/EPS/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. NASA/JSC plans to acquire 1)Quantity 30, P/N IN20900, Entire Context Electronic Dictionaries System V 3.5.18. Man. Smart Link; 2)Quantity 35, Cyrillic Starter Kit 4.01, five (5) physical media and licenses + thirty (30) licenses only (for a total of 35 licenses), Man. Fingertip Software, Inc.; 3)Quantity 5, P/N22800326, Licenses for SQL Server Application V 7.0, SQL 2000 w/10 CALs, five (5) physical media required; 4) FAT 32 for Windows NT 4.0. One (1) physical media and licenses and four (4) licenses only (for a total of 5 licenses); 5) WinZip V 8.0, Five (5) physical media and licenses and thirty (30) licenses only (for a total of 35 licenses); 6) UltraBac for Window NT, single Server Edition; 7)Disk Duplicator (1:4 and up to 16 target IDE Drives), Image MaSSter 2000i 8)Full licenses -- Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 w/10 CALS w/a total of one User Manual, one (1) physial media required. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than April 25, 2001. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".
