Description

This is a combined/synopsis/solicitation for the sole source procurement for the following items and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation; the proposal and written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24 and is issued for RFP 549-58-01. The proposed contract action is for diaylsis equipment for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with GAMBRO Renal Products under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or submit their proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not this notice is solely within the discretation of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. ITEM 0001: PRISMA System, GAMBRO P/N 0818080001D, Quantitly: 2-each. Item specifications includes the following: programmable for the full range of CRRT procedures -- (SCUF, CVVH,CVVHD,CVVHDF) -- five fully integrated and coordinated fluid pumps, an automatic fluid control system, non-invasive system pressure monitoring, integrated alarms and safety systems, utilizes a dedicated pre-assembled, color coded filter kit with sampling ports, has touch screen access to on-line help as well as instructional prompts, a 24-hour treatment history review and 24-hour clinical and technical phone support. Included in the system are 2-each trainer's guides P/N 306100039; 2-each student handbooks P/N 306100038, (includes 5 per system); and 2-each Video setup and operating, P/N 306100044 (includes 1 per system). ITEM 0002: PHOENIX diaylsis system, GAMBRO P/N 6022933700, Quantity: 4-each. Item specifications are as follows: Diascan, automated, real time evaluation of hemodialysis effeciency, hemoscan, a non invasive, continuous blood volume monitor, compensated blood flow, to monitor and display actual blood flow, bicart, uses 100% pure pharmaceutical grade bicarbonate, clean cart, acid cart, waste handling option, ether-net configured, diapure pyrogenic and endotoxin filter, dedicated blood cartridge,pre-connceted, Gamma sterilized blood tubing; a descaling feature, has the ability to automatically acid rinse after every treatment. System also features prescription management, UF and sodium profiling, and 24-hour clinical and technical support.
