Description

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Hacker Instruments, Inc. Fairfield, NJ, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) -- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for #150012 Hacker-Meisei RCM-3660 Robot Coverslipping Machine (1 each). Equipment must be able to coverslip up to 300 slides per hour using a pressure-bending method of applying the coverglass. Must be capable of using a wide variety of coverslips sizes and simple to switch from one size to another. Must be capable of being a true walk-away operation with audible alarm to signal the end of the run. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 5 days of this notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 5 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Hacker Instruments. The NAICS Code/Size is 333319/500EM. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. See Numbered Note 1.*****
