Description
Performance of a wide variety of duties connected with the applied research, development, test and evaluation of rubber materials. Must be knowledgeable in the areas of rubber formulation, mixing, processing and vulcanization of rubber products. Shall be cognizant of specification and performance requirements on elastomers used for military track vehicles to include bushings, roadwheel, track pads and roadwheel path rubber. The contractor shall discuss develop and recommend formulations to improve the service life for all the elastomeric components of military track systems to include the T-158, T-158LL for the M1A1/A2 and T-157 for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. It is the intent of the Government to award a contract on a sole source basis to Interactive Resources pusuant to FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is soley within the discretion for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
