Description

The U.S Army Intelligence Center and Fort Huachuca located at Fort Huachuca, Arizona is seeking qualified electricity service providers to furnish it with electric power for a period of up to 5 years. The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and ancillary services required to deliver the electric power to the Fort's electrical distribution system. The contractor is required to have a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity(CC&N) issued by the Arizona Corporation Commission before he will be allowed to proceed with the work. The contractor will also be required to meet or beat the rates the Government is currently paying under Tucson Electric Power's Large Light & Power Rate 14. The Fort's annual power consumption is approximately 97 million kilowatt-hours. The annual peak load is 16.5 megawatts and is normally experienced during the months of July and August. The monthly load factor averages 75%. All firms capable of providing the required services are requested to respond to this Notice via e-mail at the earliest possible date so that they can be furnished with a draft RFP as soon as it is available. Currently it is anticipated that the draft will be issued within the next two weeks. The applicable NAICS code is 22112.
