Description

Presolicitation notice. The work includes the labor and materials for modifications to Building 169 at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT. The work includes removal and replacement of walls, doors, plumbing and electrical and telephone devices and wiring. Also included is a small amount of exterior asphalt removal, re-grading and repaving. The areas to be renovated include men's and lady's locker rooms, toilets, and showers, reception area, and offices. An existing steam room is to be demolished and a new sauna installed. The solicitation will be issued unrestricted and is subject to the Hub Zone Evaluation Preference contained in FAR 52.219-4. Estimated cost range: $100,000 to $500,000. NAICS: 233320 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction). Bidders interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this project must submit their request with a company check, Certified Cashier's Check, or Money Order in the amount of $7.50 to Defense Automated Printing Service (DAPS), Box 40, Building 83, Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT 06340-5040. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. EACH CHECK MUST BE MADE PAYABLE TO THE SUPERINTENDENT OF DOCUMENTS and ANNOTATED WITH THE APPLICABLE SOLICITATION NUMBER; checks without this information will be returned unprocessed. NO PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE ISSUED UNTIL PROPER PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
