- Description
- This proposed procurement is Unrestricted, SIC 1629 and the NAICS is 23499. Estimated cost of construction is between $10,00,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Completion no later than 210 calendar days. Work consists of performing maintenance dredging of the Craighill Entrance Channel and Craighill Channel (50 feet deep and 700 feet wide), Craighill Angel (50 feet deep and 860 feet wide) and maintenance and new work dredging of Tolchester Channel (35 feet deep and 600 feet wide). The dredged material will be transported and placed at Poplar Island Environmental Restoration Project. The contract requires a large quantity of material to be dredged during a relatively short time period. The work is in an exposed portion of the Chesapeake Bay and a large portion of the work must be performed during the winter and early spring months when weather conditions are most severe. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge, to all registered plan holders. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be in one of the following: compact disc only, compact disk and Internet, or the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. Contractors requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI. Contractors may register to be placed on the Bidders/Offerors mailing lists by going to the website: http://ebs.nab.usace.army.mil. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial registration date expired 31 May 1998.
