Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the Brand Name or equal items following, and is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and written solicitations will not be issued. Solicitation is issued for Request for Quotation (RFQ) #F1MXSE10510100. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-014.l Brand Name or equal items include: L.G. White Safety Corp, Fall Protection System, Wing System, #W9901 and Tail System, #T0001. System must include Nylon net, be lightweight and portable, fit existing attachment points, comply with military specification hardware, have restraint capability outside wing walkways, incorporate a lanyard to prevent fall distance to six feet, comply with AFOSH 91-100 paragraph 8.2.5 and all other AFOSH requirements, meet OSHA standard 29CFR1900.66, and have flexibility to be used as both a passive safety system or as an active system. Quantity: 1 Each. Deliver to 925 FIRST STREET, DYESS AFB, TX 79607. Delivery date: 5/30/01. SALIENT FEATURES OF THE ABOVE SYSTEMS: Brand-name or equal components must have flexibility to be used as an active or passive safety system, must have option of attaching safety harness and lanyard to stanchion to access areas currently in compliance and some which are not, must satisfy all requirements for upper wing/fuselage maintenance. SUPPLY CODES: C9E. Award Procedures follow: Brand Name or Equal with Salient Characteristics. Anticipated award date: 5/15/01. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered. Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Feb 2000) and DFAR 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (Nov 1995) with its offer.
