- Modification: The response date is changed from May 15, 2001 to Jun 15, 2001. Synopsis: This is a Requirements contract with a Best Estimated Quantity (BEQ) of 50 each (to be exercised within two years beginning Jan 2002). It will also contain two out-year options with a BEQ of 50 each for the purchase of NSN: 5960-01-319-3932AY, Electron Tube (TWT/Bellows Assy), part numbers 2901564-1, ICB165318-001, L-5799-02 or 5639, depending on manufactures. This is in support of the LANTIRN Program. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 15 days after the publication of this notice with the response date 30 days following posting of this solicitation in the CBD. The Government does have data rights, and/or manufacturing knowledge to permit all sources to participate. First Article requirements will be required of any unproven sources. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
