Description

The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Motion Control Systems, Inc., P. O. Box 115, New River, VA 24129 on a sole-source basis for the furnishing of motors/motor controllers, motor/motor controller repair, and motor/motor controller subassemblies to be used in the life-cycle maintenance of and for possible future construction of additional small submersible vehicles. Motion Control Systems designed and built these motors using proprietary design processes and techniques. The government does not own the rights in data necessary to permit competition for these items. No other company can provide the required Motors or maintenance services without this proprietary knowledge. Delivery will be to the Coastal Systems Station, 6703 West Highway 98, Panama City, Florida, 32407-7001. A five-year requirements type contract is anticipated.
