Description

This is a modification to the original synopsis dated 24 April 2001 for N62799-01-R-0012. This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the miscellaneous repairs to the Discovery Bay YTT-11. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Annual ABS hull survey, DC motor overhaul, hull wash/touch up paint, paint boot-top and freeboard, selective non-skid, replace wire on main crane, repair tank leaks, replace temperature probes, heater OP check, install Grey Water shipalt, inspect/replace port z-drive bolts, prep/paint z-drive machinery rooms, replace mn engine muffler, open/inspect ballast tanks, inspect lvl indicators, repair/replace port air over water flood valve and incidental related work. Vessel description: 186'6" long, 40' wide, 1187 tons full, 1070 tons light. The scheduled dates of availability are 24 September 01 to 19 October 01. The Government will pick-up and deliver vessel. The RFP will be issued on or about 18 MAY 01. Proposals shall be due 21 JUNE 01. Sources who currently hold, or are qualified for and willing to enter into an Agreement for Boat Repair/Master Ship Repair Agreement (ABR/MSRA) in accordance with DFARS 217.71 prior to award, may submit a proposal which shall be considered by this agency. Firms that do not possess either an ABR or an MSRA are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit an assessment of the ABR/MSRA application and to execute the ABR/MSRA agreement(s) without impacting the vessel's availability dates.
