Description

This is a Sources Sought synopsis and Request for Information for solicitation F0160001R0076, only to determine industry interest and capability. Contractors are asked to submit capability statements expressing their interest and to complete the attached market survey and return to Operational Contracting Office, 50 LeMay Plaza So, Maxwell AFB, AL 36112. The capability statements will be used as part of the market research to determine whether this acquisition should be set-aside for small businesses, determine commercial practices, or proceed in an unrestricted manner. The market research questionnaire can be accessed at http://www.eps.gov. The information in this survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this survey or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the government will arise as a result of submission of a response to this survey and the government_s use of such information. Please return Market Survey by close of business 11 May 01. Respondents to this survey may be contacted for additional information. A letter stating your interest or requesting a copy of the solicitation is not sufficient to determine contractor capability. The following is the General Scope of Work required for this contract: 1. SCOPE OF WORK _ DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: This will be a Firm, Fixed Price Contract. As such, The contractor will provide equipment, tools, materials, personnel, training, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform Visual Information (VI) Services as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW) except as specified in Paragraph 3, Government Furnished Property and Services and in Appendix 1 as Government Furnished Equipment at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. The performance threshold for these services are listed in Paragraph 2, Service Delivery Summary (SDS). The contractor will provide Visual Information services as described below. The estimated quantities of work are listed in Appendix 3, Workload Estimates. MATERIALS: Materials will be in compliance with OSHA and USAF/CE bioenvironmental standards. EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS: Contractor provided equipment shall prevent marking or scratching of fixtures, furnishings, or building surfaces. Contractor provided electrical equipment shall be UL approved. Services shall be provided in accordance with all USAF and Civil Engineering procedures/regulations. This service is subject to the Service Contract Act. The RFP and all associated documents when issued will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) home page. The Internet address is http://www.eps.gov and is then listed under EPS for Vendors and Direct Reporting Units. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. When a RFP is available, it will be advertised. Any interested contractors identifying themselves for this procurement will be placed on the Offerors Mailing List, which will be available electronically at the above EPS Internet address. No date has been established for the RFP issuance. Offerors are encouraged to subscribe/register for this solicitation number through EPS to ensure they automatically receive all documents associated with the procurement in a timely manner. All associated documents will also be released electronically unless a written request is received from contractors justifying hard copies.
