Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Boulder City Regional Office, Boulder City, Nevada, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Century Manufacturing, 4620 Andrews Street, North Las Vegas, NV 89031, for removal, repair/restoration and replacement of one pair of brass doors located at the passenger car level of the Arizona Dam Elevator Utility Tower at Hoover Dam, Boulder City, NV. This procurement is being set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS Code is 332323 and the size standard is 500 employees. In February, 2001, an award was made to Century Manufacturing for the removal, repair/restoration and replacment of one pair of brass doors located at the passenger car level of the Nevada Dam Elevator Utility Tower at Hoover Dam. A full and open competition was conducted at that time and Century Manufacturing was awarded the contract. Due to the significant historical value and extraordinary care in handling of these historic doors, it is in the best interests of the Government to have the same company repair and restore the other pair of brass doors. This procurement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is May 14, 2001. All reponsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. Offers shall show contractor's capability to provide the required work and submit quotes no later than May 11, 2001, 12 Noon PST.
