Description
SCOPE OF WORK (GROUP RE-LAMPING OF THE JACKSON FEDERAL BUILDING 1. Work includes the removal and re-cycling of old tubes, cleaning of fixture interior and exterior surfaces, installation of new fluorescent tubes, and, on an incidental basis, repairs to defective fixtures. There are approximately 21,000 light fixtures to be re-lamped. The area of work includes the 1st floor through the 35th floor of the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building, 915 Second Avenue, Seattle, Washington, that contain recessed fluorescent light fixtures. Ceiling height is typically 9 feet throughout, but may occasionally vary between 8 to 10 feet. The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, tools and equipment, and all parts, material, and supplies not furnished by the U.S. General Services Administration. The contractor shall complete all re-lamping tasks within 45 calendar days of work commencement as detailed on the Government approved project schedule. 2. APPROXIMATE FIXTURE COUNT BY TYPE A) 19,500 (EA) 1 foot by 4 foot, two tube fixtures. Each 4 foot fixture shall have 2 existing tubes removed and 1 new tube installed. B) 1600 (EA) 1 foot by 2 foot, one tube fixtures. Each 2 foot fixture shall have 1 existing U' tube removed and 1 new U' tube installed.
