Description

Liner Systems. This is a firm-fixed price two-year (one basic year with one option year) indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity procurement for subject items. The minimum estimated quantity is 197 each. This minimum Quantity consists of 80 each for the Shelter Liner with carrier bag, 40 each for the Four Way Extension Liner with carrier bag, 32 each for the Vestibule Liner with carrier bag, and 45 each for the Bump Thru Door Airlock Liner with carrier bag. The combined maximum estimated quantities for all are 394 each. First Article Requirement will require one unit for each of each items listed. A separate line item will request Data (Product Drawings and Associated Lists) with unlimited rights (1 LT). The Liners will be used within medical shelters to provide chemical and biological collective protection to medical forces and their patients. Liners are made from polyethylene and saran plastic to resist penetration by liquid and vapor chemical threats. Government estimated delivery would commence Dec 01 and continue through Mar 04 with monthly deliveries. Contractor testing will be in accordance with Government specification. This requirement is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit under Full and Open Competition. Release of Formal RFP is anticipated for the June 2001 time Frame. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requesting, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
