Description

The Flathead National Forest will be advertising a Request for Proposals for the replacement of the Graves Creek Bridge on Hungry Horse Ranger District, Flathead County, Montana. Work includes removal of the existing single lane superstructure and replacing it with a new double lane superstructure composed of steel beams with precast, post-tensioned concrete deck panels supported by the existing concrete retaining wall abutments. Work also includes cast-in-place concrete, concrete demolition, driving sheet piling, bridge railing and approach railing, roadway embankment placement and compaction, crushed aggregate base course, and asphalt paving of the new bridge approaches. Issue date, May 21, 2001. Notice to Proceed estimated to be issued on September 1, 2001, with actual on-the-ground work to start on approximately June 3, 2002. Completion date, September 30, 2002. Government estimate range is between $250,000 and $500,000.
