Description

The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, is soliciting quotations for the complete removal of a steel piling cofferdam and associated steel members from the Hudson River near Building 604, West Point, NY 10996. Originally installed to provide protection for intake to the power house, the structure is no longer required and is to be completely removed which may require underwater demolition. Structure is three-sided (the riverbank forms the fourth side), approximately 45 feet wide and juts into the Hudson River approximately 75 feet. Site is environmentally sensitive. Estimated magnitude is between $25,000 and $100,000. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business concerns. Request for Quotation will be issued on or about 10 May 2001 and offers will be due on or about 30 May 2001. A site visit is scheduled for 21 May 2001 at 1:00 PM. The applicable NAICS code is 234990 and the size standard is $27,500,000. All responsible small businesses may submit offers which will be considered. See Numbered Note 1.
