- Description
- This is a combined Sole Source synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal number for this acquisition is for MDA113-00-T-0016. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25 (Initial Effective Date 02 May 01). This is a sole source requirement being pursued with York International, Cypress California, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Delivery will be on or before 19 JUN 2001. The following is a description of the requirements: The contractor, York International, is to provide and install one (1) York 55-ton YCAL0060 Scroll, Air-Cooled Chiller. This process includes the removal and disposal of one existing 50-ton York Reciprocal Chiller. The sequence regarding this process is as follows: (a) Contractor is to provide all the necessary labor, equipment, tools and expertise to rig and dispose/remove existing 50-ton chiller off-site. Contractor will disconnect existing electrical, signal/automation wiring, controls, and chilled water piping at no cost to the Government (Note: Contractor will make every effort to minimize loss of existing glycol-based chilled water, ensuring any hazardous material waste clean-up equipment is on-hand, and replenish that which is unrecoverable). Contractor shall abide by all local, state and federal regulations concerning the transport and disposal of refrigerant systems. (b) Contractor will rig and set/mount new 55-ton chiller in same location as removed chiller, reconnect electrical, water piping, signal wiring and controls. Contractor will confirm all connections, start-up and test new 55-ton chiller. Additionally, contractor will ensure signal/connectivity to existing York ISN Facility Manager software system, and set/program new unit with appropriate monitoring, controls and graphics. All work will be coordinated with the Contracting Office Representative (COR), Mr. George Taylor (909) 413-2284 or alternate, Thad Elliott (909) 413-2484, to ensure access to work area, and to allow COR to post any warning signs, detours, etc., to avert personnel, vehicles, etc., from work area.
