Description

General Services Administration intends to award a sole source contract with Tierra Data Systems to perform surveys on arroyo toad, least Bell_s vireo, California gnatcatcher, Stephen_s kangaroo rat and southwestern willow flycatcher. Each of these species is listed as Threatened or Endangered under provision of the Endangered Species Act. Tierra Data Systems has completed numerious site specific, detail intensive, scientifically defensible studies. This requirement is a follow-on for work currently being performed by the contractor. Tierra Data Systems personnel possess all Endangered Species Act 10(a)(1)(A) permits as required by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and is the only contractor that has these permits for the U.S. Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, Detachment Fallbrook and has site specific experience on Station. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. But responses received before May 11, 2001 will be considered by the government. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
