Description
This notice is an amendment to add additional information and change information to the previous Sources Sought Notice posted 4/30/01 with a response date of 5/15/01. We are looking for 8(a) firms certified in NJ, NY & PA(ONLY) to compete for a contract for Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements(SABER), an indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery construction at McGuire AFB, NJ. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision for a broad range of maintenance, repair and minor construction. The contractor must furnish noncomplex design, materials, equipment and personnel to manage and accomplish projects ranging from $5K to $500K. The contractor will be required to maintain a management office on McGuire AFB in order to receive delivery orders and provide other management services related to accomplishing individual projects. The contractor will be required to provide computer hardware required for the SABER program as well as computer software and maintenance necessary to run the program. Projects will include tasks in variety of trades, including but not limited to site work, concrete, masonry, metals, wood and plastics, thermal and moisture protection, doors and windows, finishes, specialities, equipment, special construction, conveying systems, mechanical, electrical and abatement of work utilizing Auto Computer Aided Design(CAD)Drawings. The Davis-Bacon Act will apply. The contractor must be bondable for the maximum contract amount of $5m for the base year and for each year of the option periods, if exercised. The initial contract period shall be 365 calendar days from the date of award with four option periods of 365 calendar days each. The applicable NAICS Codes are 23321, 23332 & 23331. This solicitation will be competitive, best value, source selection that will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR 15.3) and Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFFARS 5315.3). Technical and cost proposals will be required. Past Performance will be evaluated for relevant experience of similiar magnitude. All interested firms should email their responses and forward via mail their 8(a) certification to the listed point of contact and address by 15 May 2001.
