Description
The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis a three year contract with the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington 98115 for a project entitled "Development of Interactive Media to Build Interaction and Management Skills for Care Providers of Fetal-Alcohol Exposed Children with Central Nervous System Impairment." The statutory authority to negotiate with the University of Washington is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) under FAR reference 6.302-1. The purpose of the proposed contract is to develop an educational, interactive CD-ROM to enhance the skills of care providers of children affected by alcohol in utero. The University of Washington is the only responsible source possessing the requisite expertise and knowledge in the field, and access to its Educational Technology Resource Center necessary to perform this project.
