Description

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is = soliciting proposals for RFP-1B0035/JDC. This is a design-build = project that requires the Design-Builder both to develop the final = design and construct the (New York Avenue Metrorail Station) Project. = Accordingly, the Design-Builder, through itself or others, shall = provide professional engineering and architectural services plus = technical, subprofessional, clerical and other services necessary for = the complete design and preparation of the Final Design and = Specification. The Design-Builder shall also furnish all labor, = equipment, materials, project management, quality control/quality = assurance, and architecture and engineering services required for the = construction of the Project. This contract consists of Station structure, Track work, Systems, = bridges and installation of the Metropolitan Branch Trail section = within the boundaries of the New York Avenue Metrorail Station project. = The work will include, but not be limited to, the following = activities: architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, = bridge work, Station power and UPS, utilities, elevators and = escalators, Track work, Train Control, Communications, Traction Power, = required testing and reports. The contract will be awarded under a Two = -- Phase negotiated "Best Value" procurement. Proposer qualifications = will be requested under Phase One and successful offerors will be = invited to submit technical and price proposals under Phase Two.
