Description: This procurement involves the fabrication and delivery of sixty (60) new hydraulic lifting cylinders and thirty-three (33) new hydraulic latching cylinders for the Second Powerhouse at Bonneville Dam. The Bonneville Project is located on the Columbia River approximately 40 miles east of Portland, Oregon. Fifty-four lifting cylinders have a hoist stroke of 46.5 ft and bore of 10 inches and the remaining six have a hoist stroke of 38.3 ft and bore of 10 inches. Piston rods for the lifting cylinders shall be either stainless steel with hard chrome plating or carbon steel with an approved ceramic coating. Latching cylinders have a bore of 2 inches and a stroke of 3 inches with a stainless steel piston rod. The working pressure for all hydraulic cylinders is 2000 PSI. The lifting cylinders shall be fabricated over the first five years of the contract period and delivered in the quantity of six per year, except for the final year of the nine-year contract. The Contractor shall be responsible for the storage of the cylinders, as necessary to meet the delivery schedule. This proposal is open to both large and small size business concerns. The small business size standard for which, is a concern, including all affiliates, with 500 employees or less.
