Description

Project No. F.A.I.R. 12(23): The Bureau of Indian Affairs, Western Regional Office, seeks Indian-Owned Construction Firms which can provide all labor, materials, equipment and services for crack cleaning and sealing, place hot asphalt-rubber chip seal coat, final fog seal and pavement markings on 23.335 km of roadway, BIA Route 12, Fort Apache Indian Reservation, Gila and Navajo Counties, Arizona. Estimated price range: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. ISSUE DATE o/a 21 MAY 01. BID OPENING DATE o/a 14 JUNE 01. This procurement will be set-aside for Indian-owned and controlled firms under the "Buy Indian Act." 25 U.S.C. 47, Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 U.S.C. 450e)requires that preference opportunities in employment and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises.
