- MT PFH 66-1(3), WEST FORK BITTERROOT RIVER ROAD, Bitterroot National Forest, Ravalli County, Montana. Initial Notice posted to CBDNet on April 26, 2001 (printed CBDNet). BY ISSUE OF THIS MODIFICATION WE ANNOUNCE THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS (FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION). Presolicitation Notices are being sent to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis. This project consists of 5.7 km of grading, base, paving, drainage, and gabion-faced retaining walls with welded wire fabric for soil reinforcing. Project includes construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing, construction schedules; alteration of box culvert; 7,200 m silt fence; 1,600 m earth berms; 6,500 cu m watering for dust control; 16.2 ha clearing & grubbing; 180,000 cu m excavation & embankment; 20,000 sq m geotextiles; 2,300 sq m roadway obliteration; 20,000 cu m riprap; 1,450 sq m MSE walls; 25,000 t crushed aggregate; 8,000 t hot asphalt concrete pavement; 15 t asphalt surface treatment; 700 m culverts; 800 m underdrains; 530 m horizontal drains; 4,800 m guardrail; 100,000 sq m topsoil; 14 sq m sign installation; 250 ea delineators; 22,000 m permanent pavement markings; 3,000 flagger hours; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 40 km south of Darby, Montana. Work shall be completed by October 18, 2002. Estimated price range is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance, and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at prime rate.
