Description

This is a firm-fixed price contract with a NAICS Code of 234910. This acquisition is unrestricted, open to both small and large business concerns. If a subcontracting plan is required, the following minimum goals are applicable: Small Business Subcontracting 61.4%; Small Disadvantaged Business Subcontracting 9.1%; Women-owned Small Business Subcontracting 5.0%; HUBZone Small Business Subcontracting -- 0.5%; and Veteran-owned Small Business Subcontracting 0.5%. The magnitude of construction is between $10M and $25M and the estimated construction period is 480 days. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The project consists of the design, construction, and replacement of a deteriorating segment of an existing 20-inch diameter concrete water main. Installation includes approximately 40 miles of trenching, pipe placement, and compacted backfill. Some easements require the old pipeline to be removed and disposed. Work within the Union Pacific Railroad and New Mexico State Highway and Transportation Department rights-of-way is required. This project may have one option for the design and installation of a cathodic protection system for up to the remaining 30 miles of pipeline, depending on funds available.
