Description

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking sources for a contract to produce from 100,000,000 to 200,000,000 52 mm condoms annually. Any US Business with the manufacturing capability to provide a significant portion of the above quantity is asked to forward a capability statement expressing interest in this procurement. In this statement, please identify the type of business organization ( i.e., Large, Small, Disadvantaged, Hub Zone ). Production may be delivered in uniform monthly allotments. The condoms shall be manufactured in accordance with USAID specifications and have a USFDA four (4) year shelf life. The condoms shall have a USFDA- approved 510k or have been in the U.S. market prior to the medical device amendments to the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act as amended in 1976. The condoms must be manufactured in the U.S., to meet USAID source, origin and regulations. USAID will issue the solicitation in June 2001. Responses to this notice shall be submitted no later than May 29, 2001. BUSINESSES THAT ARE US MANUFACTURERS OF THE SPECIFIED CONDOMS NEED ONLY TO RESPOND.
