- Description
- This is a combined SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this Notice. This announcement constitutes a request for quotations and is the only solicitation that will be issued; there will be no written solicitation. The Solicitation number is DTFH61-01-Q-00097 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ) incorporating provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25. The North American Product Classification System Code is 333415 and the small business standard is 750 employees and under. THIS REQUIREMENT IS AN UNRESTRICTED PURCHASE. The Federal Highway Administration has a requirement for 2 NEW 10-TON AIRFLOW SYSTEMS AS DESCRIBED BELOW. Include all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the following: Permits for construction are not included. Furnish and install two (2) 10-ton Airflow Precision Air Conditioning Systems, Air Cooled Units, Encompass Model number TC-10A (TechCool) ; the units will be set on the floor. The indoor units shall operate from 208 volt, 3-∅. The Air Cooled system includes the following features: Microprocessor Control; Return air filters; Upflow; Electric reheat; Steam generating canister humidifier; High voltage circuit protection; Discharge air plenum; Hot gas bypass; Non-locking disconnect switch; Condensate pump; Crankcase heaters; Smoke Detector; Qty-2 Airflow Condensers Model AC-12. This unit is capable of providing heat rejection for the full cooling capacity of the air-conditioner at 95_F. The outdoor unit shall operate from 208 volt, 3-∅. Fan speed controls for the condenser. Upflow units shall be 34"D x 35"W x 76"H (w/o duct work) or less. Must sit in the computer room with ceiling height of 8 feet (96"). Sensaphone 1108 temperature/humidity monitor to call emergency personnel when the temperature or humidity are out of acceptable range. Freight, handling and receiving of components, delivery to 400 Seventh Street, SW., Room P2- 0316A. Washington, DC and rigging of equipment into place. The condensers will be installed in the parking garage in the air shaft and not on the parking garage floor itself. (Condenser location is subject to building owner approval.) Refrigerant piping from the air-conditioners to the condensers. The hot gas piping will be insulated. Humidifier water make-up piping to the air-conditioners from the nearest available and adequate water source located approximately 100 feet away. Condensate water piping from the air-conditioners to the nearest available drain located approximately 100 feet away. All required core drilling and wall penetrations necessary for the piping runs. X-raying of slabs is not included. Control interlock wiring between the air-conditioning units and the condensers will be installed by others. Power wiring will be installed by others. Charging of the air-conditioning units with refrigerant. Cleanup of all debris. Perform a complete check, test and start-up of the system, using a factory-trained technician. The units will sit on the floor and not have floor stands. All work to be performed during normal working hours. Do not include sealing of slab, walls or doors in space to form a vapor barrier. The entire system will carry a full one-year part and labor warranty. The Airflow unit will be provided with a second additional year warranty for parts only. Customer training will be provided, describing the basic equipment/system operation, maintenance and emergency procedures. One full set of operation and maintenance manuals will be provided. Bimonthly maintenance (6/year) on both units and semiannual (2/year) cleaning of condenser coils in the first year. All work to be completed in a workmanlike manner according to standard practices. Delivery and installation within 16 weeks of award is critical. Failure to include the information requested above may result in your quotation being considered non-responsive. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about May 30, 2001.
