Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego intends to procure liquid argon (technical, 99.95% pure, in accordance with FED SPEC MIL-A-18455, Type II and/or industry standards, whichever of the two standards is highest) in the estimated amount of 5,420,000 cubic feet and liquid nitrogen (technical, 99.95% pure, in accordance with FED SPEC MIL-BB-N-411C, Type II, Grade A, Class I, Oil Free and/or industry standards, whichever of the two standards is highest) in the estimated amount of 16,000,000 cubic feet to be delivered on an as needed basis to Naval Aviation Depot, North Island, San Diego, CA. Both argon and nitrogen require a completed Department of Labor Material Safety Data Sheet, Form OSHA-20, to accompany deliveries. FOB Destination. FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, will be utilized. The Government intends to utilize reverse auction procedures for this procurement. This is a competitive, anonymous, on-line auction in which participants will submit a series of quotes/bids that descend in price during a specified period of time. The Government reserves the right to award on initial offers submitted in response to RFP. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 325120, Small Business Size Standard 1,000 employees. The period of performance will be for one year from contract award or 01 July 2001 through 30 June 2002. The resulting contract will be a fixed price indefinite delivery requirements type contract. FOB Destination. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside; all responsible small businesses may submit an offer which will be considered.
