- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ), number SSA-RFQ-01-1025. This request for quotation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-24. This is a small business set-aside, the NAICS code is 421340, 100 employees. Please provide a quote for the following: RAID Level 5 Tower Subsystem: Ultra-2 SCSI to EIDE; 8 disk Capacity, 650GB Max RAID Storage Capacity; Built-in Intel i960, RN64-bit RISK Processor; 128MB SDRAM Cache Memory; Ultra DMA 66/100 Support; 80 MB/s DTR, Host Interface SCSI-3, 68-pin; Hot Swappable User Replaceable Ultra DMA 100 EIDE Hard Drives; Host Independent; OS Independent and Transparent; Dual Redundant 350 W Independent Power Supply Units; Automatic Data Regeneration; SCSI ID Assignment 0~15. Quantity of 7. These items shall be delivered to Baltimore, Maryland 21235. The provisions at FAR Part 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. There are no addendums to these provisions. FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this request for quotation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. To be considered for award under this solicitation, offerors must offer a firm, fixed unit and total price for the required line item. EVALUATION CRITERIA: The offer will be evaluated to assess compliance with the specifications set forth in this solicitation and to determine the reasonableness of the offered pricing. The Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for the basic requirement. The total evaluated price will be based on the unit prices for each item multiplied by the required quantity. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the quote, shall result in a binding purchase order without further action by either party. Offeror is advised to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR Part 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certification -Commercial Items, with their quote. The provisions at FAR Part 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. The following provisions at FAR Part 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items apply to this acquisition: (a) (1), (a) (2), and (b) (11), (12), through (15), (18), (20), and (24).
