Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-01-T-0055. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 2001213. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7384. NAICS is 812921. Place of delivery and acceptance is at Edwards AFB, CA, with FOB Destination. The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB, CA has a requirement for material, labor and freight for the following: SCOPE OF WORK: Remove all hanging film bars from existing Space Saver movable storage units. Move fixed shelving unit at left end and place it against adjacent wall. Install track stops on system such that far left carriage stops to allow entrance through new door to be installed in far left wall. Supply and install new, freestanding shelf unit (24_ x 48_ x 84_ metal frame, with 6 wood shelves including top and bottom) in _void_ that is now accessible. Plus, supply and install, in each of the 32 existing units, 8 ea. Drawers, 24_ deep, with 4_ fronts, but spaced such that a 6_ media may be stored in each drawer without obstructing the ability to pull out the drawer above or below. There to be a total of 256 drawers supplied. Further, supply and install 4 ea. shelves in each of the 32 units that will be 24_ x 36_ with a 4_ center stop. There are to be a total of 128 of the 24_ x 36_ shelves. In addition to the 32 units of _movable_ Space Saver units on 12 carriages, there are 2 stationary rows of units that have 6 sections that are 12_ x 36_ x 85_. Two of these units are to be moved as described above. After removing the film hangers from these units, 6 shelves, (top, bottom and 4), will be installed at approx. spacing of 16_. There are to be a total of 36 of the 12_ x 36_ shelves supplied. The following provisions and clauses apply: 52.252-2 -- Clauses Incorporated by Reference. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the contracting officer will make their full text available.
