Description
Amendment 0004 to PRDA No. 01-20-OISLSAT. The Space Test Program (STP) amends the PRDA solicitation to: (1) Change the PRDA name from OISLSat to STPSat-1 (2) Section B ? Requirements, Technical Description, Paragraph A. The OISL payload is deleted and is replaced with the Spatial Heterodyne Imager for Atmospheric Radicals (SHIMMER) payload. SHIMMER is a high-resolution ultraviolet spectrometer based on the new optical technique known as Spatial Heterodyne Spectroscopy (SHS). It will demonstrate that SHS facilitates the design of low mass, low power, low volume, high throughout spectrometers for space-based remote sensing. SHIMMER will image the earth?s limb at low latitudes measuring the hydroxyl (OH) resonant fluorescence around 308nm. Detailed requirements can be found in the revised MRD and TRD located on SMC/TE website as stated below. (3) Order of importance of experiments are: SHIMMER, MESA, WSSP, CITRIS and MEPSI. (4) Section D, Proposal Preparation Instructions. Offerors can review the revised the Mission Requirement Document (MRD) and Technical Requirements Document (TRD) on SMC/TE website http://www.te.plk.af.mi./Contracts/Procurements.html. This input will help STP to clarify requirements in the final MRD and TRD. Offeror?s are invited to submit questions and comments to Eleni.M.Sims@aero.org on or before May 16, 2001. The draft documents will give the offeror?s early insight into the requirements that are under development. The final version of the TRD and MRD will be posted on SMC/TE website on or about May 22, 2001. The Offerors may modify, delete, and add requirements in the final MRD and TRD to reflect the requirements that are met by their proposal. All changes to the final TRD and MRD must be clearly marked, and the documents shall be modified using MS Word?s ?Tools-Track Changes-Highlight Changes? in the pull-down menu. The modified TRD and MRD will be contractual documents and should be submitted as separate documents with the offerors proposal. (3) Submission: Proposal is extended to June 22, 2001, 1600 mountain standard time or 30 days after release of the final versions of the TRD and MRD. Offerors are requested to acknowledge receipt of this amendment with their proposals.
